Diageo are one of the biggest beverage companies in the world, with brands such as Guinness, Baileys and Smirnoff Vodka making up part of their portfolio. Tricon were appointed from concept development through to handover to develop their food and beverage strategy and subsequent designs for the firm as they relocated to their new offices in Great Marlborough Street to accommodate their nearly 900 staff.
While most of our office designs focus on employee cafeterias/grab and go areas, Diageo wanted to emphasise their beverage expertise by having 2 distinct bars for employees to enjoy. The Main Bar was located on the ground floor and included a supporting pantry for light snack offerings, while Level 6 featured the Client Bar & Kitchen to support the firms’ boardrooms and visiting clients. The main staff dining area was located on the first floor, featuring serving stations supported by the main kitchen situated next to this. Tricon also designed a supporting kitchen on the lower ground floor for the Client Collaboration Centre, a space designed to showcase the brands and services offered by Diageo to visiting clients of the office.
