Brentford’s new 17,250 seat community stadium is situated next to Kew Bridge station, less than a mile away from the original stadium in Griffin Park. As well as football, this stadium will also be home to professional rugby and is at the heart of plans to regenerate the local area. Working with AFL Architects, Tricon developed the food & beverage strategy for the stadium and then progressed the detailed designs for its onsite kitchens, supporting six hospitality lounges, a premium GA bar and varied concessions. A challenge in the design process has been that the footprint is very constrained externally, so space was always at a premium. Partly to alleviate this, the stadium will be unusual in that the main kitchen onsite has been designed as a receiving kitchen to be supported by an offsite commissary.
