Pan Pacific, London
Tricon Foodservice Consultants are proud to reveal the details of their latest project.
Pan Pacific London is located in Bishopsgate in the heart of the City. This luxury hotel, within a 43 storey tower, has endless views across the City and beyond and is the Singapore-headquartered hotel group’s first UK hotel. Tricon was appointed to plan the F&B designs across the hotel’s various restaurants, bars and event spaces.
Amongst a number of service support kitchens the banqueting kitchen, which serves a ballroom with up to 400 covers, is the largest. The focus of the brief for this space was to provide comprehensive preparation and production areas to support the largescale cooking operations that take place when catering for large events and functions.
The hotel’s Straits Kitchen Restaurant offers all-day dining. The restaurant serves ‘a melting pot of cuisines from Singapore’s many cultures’, and is heavily focussed on South East Asian dishes. The space boasts floor-to-ceiling windows, overlooking the Bishopsgate Plaza. There are also two private dining rooms, Newton and Katong, where diners can choose from a selection of set menus to suit their taste and occasion.
Ginger Lily is Pan Pacific London’s destination Rum bar where signature cocktails are expertly mixed and served. Tricon worked with the bar team to create a practical, workable, yet stylish show bar.
Stuart Wilcox, Tricon’s Senior Design Consultant, who project managed the installation said of the project, “This project has been long in development, but is a fantastic addition to the ever-increasing City square mile’s hotel collection. We started developing the kitchen F&B designs way back in 2015 and have seen a number of changes throughout the process. There have been structural adaptations to work with, and two different architects to work alongside, but the team found solutions to all requests and it’s a scheme we’re all incredibly proud of.”
