The Dubai EDITION by Marriott, Dubai
Tricon Foodservice Consultants can boast a hat-trick of kitchen design projects at just one site, thanks to cool, new boutique hotel, The Dubai EDITION by Marriott.
The project was developed by SOL Properties and designed by LW Design Group LLC. Tricon carried out the designs based on Marriott’s F&B intent briefing for all areas, which comprise a commissary kitchen, numerous F&B outlets and housekeeping and valet laundry areas.
The hotel is situated in Downtown Dubai, one of the City’s most popular locations, with stunning views of the world’s tallest tower, Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Fountain, and is walking distance of The Dubai Mall.
The venue opened in November 2021 and features 275 rooms, including 42 suites. The Hotel is full of luxurious amenities including ballroom, meeting studios, spa, fitness centre and an infinity swimming pool and bar. The F&B offering includes Jolie, the Hotel’s all day dining restaurant and two speciality restaurants and bars, Duomo and Inti.
Jolie, offers a French Mediterranean menu in a chic setting with amazing views. It serves up a varied menu with a fusion of French & Mediterranean flavours, sourced fresh and organically.
Italian restaurant, Duomo, described as “palatial luxury and timeless Italian fine dining in the heart of Dubai”, features striking interiors, including a 15-metre-high ‘fiery’ vaulted cathedral ceiling, floor-to-ceiling windows against the backdrop of the Burj Khalifa, as well as a hidden garden terrace. The upscale Italian restaurant offers up an indulgent Italian menu, influenced by the Southern Italian regions.
Inti, is a rooftop restaurant & lounge featuring creative Peruvian-Japanese (Nikkei) food and stunning views across the Downtown skyline. The food offering is a new, popular concept to the region and the restaurant’s chefs were involved in the design of the kitchen with some interesting back of house flows. The venue offers a diverse setting with one half featuring a retractable roof, and the other half, a ceiling fitted with 700 LED lights, creating a striking atmosphere for diners.
Jolie and Duomo join the growing portfolio of Dubai hot spots that Tricon has worked on in recent years. Both restaurants have been met with high praise and listed amongst the best new restaurants in Dubai!
Tricon’s Design Director, Ian Croft, said of The Dubai EDITION scheme, “We’re lucky to have been involved in this project in such an up-and-coming location. It offered so many exciting F&B concepts, all of which are making a big impression on the Dubai gastronomy scene.
“It’s a testament to our excellent design team, who currently have over 200 years of experience between them! We know there’s more to come in the region in terms of exclusive, high-end dining and it’s an upward trend we continue to be a part of.”
