Tricon bids farewell to Alister Morgan
As we end 2022, we bid farewell and a happy retirement to a Tricon superstar.
Management Consultant, Alister Morgan, is retiring after a 24-year career with Tricon. Alister has extensive experience across a number of F&B sectors, but he is without doubt the pinnacle of the education sector. His knowledge and experience in this area is second-to-none and will be sorely missed by the Tricon team.
Alister joined us in October 1998 with a background in retail. He quickly become an integral part of Team Tricon, carrying out foodservice tenders, business reviews, catering strategies and audits. An early stand-out project for Alister was for the Ministry of Justice, carrying out audits of the Crown Courts across England and Wales. He was responsible for reviewing how catering was delivered across the service, from the judge’s silver service dining room to the jurors cafe resulting in recommendations to the minister in the House of Lords.
Another memorable project, which would go on to last 10 years, was with the Goodwood estate. Alister was involved in optimising the customers experience at both the Racecourse and Motor Circuit that included two tenders for the catering contract to supply catering and hospitality services at large scale events and to also review the Goodwood hotel operation. This lead to Lord March bringing the hotel in-house
Then began Alister’s career in the education sector where he championed work within universities, colleges, and schools, specialising in foodservice strategies, operational reviews, catering audits and tenders.
A memorable overseas trip was with Barclay’s bank to America. Encountering an electrical storm and use of a private jet, the research trip was certainly an eventful one for Alister and one he remembers fondly.
From everyone at Tricon Foodservice Consultants, we wish Alister all the best for a long and happy retirement and thank him for his loyal dedication and service to the business.
