Tricon supported the NEC in assessing the scope to contract out the foodservice operations, developing business planning strategies for a range of options from joint venture to pure contract to remaining with an in-house operation. These considered the business risk, financial requirements and potential for future development. An invitation document was prepared to market test the opportunity. The eventual outcome was influenced by the City of Birmingham.
In parallel we also developed detailed designs for an onsite CPU and satellite catering outlets throughout the halls complex.
